We can never know why or where tragedy will strike, but The United Methodist Church offers resources to help those seeking consolation following the bombings at the Boston Marathon on Monday.

UNITED METHODIST MEN’S NATIONAL CONFERENCE
Epworth Church is making planning arrangements for all men of all ages to attend the 11th National Gathering at Belmont University in Nashville, TN on July, 12, 13, 14.  This will be a great way to celebrate your connection to the body of Christ! 

As millions are coping with the aftermath of Sandy this week, the United Methodist Church is with them.  As the clean-up efforts continue, we are there to help by giving a helping presence as well as cleaning buckets, hygiene kits, and health kits.  This tangible response is our physical way of showing our love of God and our neighbor.  

Ways to respond to this disaster:

- Pray for those impacted by the storm and involved in disaster response.

- Give to UMCOR.  Because UMCOR has many centers in the Northeastern U.S., it is best to give directly to UMCOR.  

- To give, you may make a check payable to the NIC with the Advance #3021787 in the memo line and mail it to M. Bunt, ste 1820, 77 W.   Washington St., Chicago, IL 60602.

- Other ways to give financially. Donate on-line to UMCOR 

- Text the word RESPONSE to 80888 to give an immediate $10 donation.

The Epworth Food Pantry Collection happens the first Sunday of each month.  Bring in your food pantry donations and drop them by the Missions information center before each service.
